During the same month of the year 2020, the number of applications submitted to obtain licenses for the first time reached 29, and requests for renewal of licenses were 7, while the number of requests for waiving licenses or modifying permits in September of last year was 6. Of the total of these requests, 20 requests for permits to establish public stations and 9 licenses for working persons were submitted. It is noteworthy that the installed capacities of renewable energy sources in Jordan amounted to 2,062 megawatts by the end of 2020, contributing about 20% of the electricity generated, and in 2030 it will reach 31%, according to the figures of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
