Opening Ceremony of Training Program of Cadres of Iraqi Ministry of Electricity


Under the patronage of Director-General of the National Electricity Company Dr. Ghaleb Maabreh, it was on Saturday 24/7/2010 the opening ceremony of the training program in the areas of total quality management and modern techniques in auditing public budgets, which is currently being held in the office"s main electricity company.

In addition to the national cycle of contracts and tenders which is held in a joint effort in Amman, in the presence of His Excellency Mr. Hijori Okamoto / Resident Representative of JICA Jordan and Mr. Shinji Jaotoa / Deputy Resident Representative of Iraq"s unity and Mr. Yoshinobu Sejammora Project Adviser and Abdel-Fattah Daradkeh / Assistant Director-General of the support services and Engineer Firas Ali / Manager of international services in the national electricity company.

At the beginning of ceremony, Dr. Ghaleb Maabreh welcomed participants of cadres of the Ministry of Electricity in Iraq, wishing them further progress and prosperity, and Dr. Maabreh thanked representatives of JICA, the financing and support outstanding for the holding of such training courses that promote a high level of knowledge in all areas and support plans to develop and improve the electrical system in Iraq, and called for the continuation of such cooperation between two brotherly countries.

The holding of this program within the training program for third country in collaboration with the Japanese Agency for International Cooperation (JICA) for 2010, one-week, for a number (69) participants from the cadres of the Ministry of Electricity of Iraq, noted that will be trained in a second batch after the holy month of Ramadan (36) of the cadres and the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity and other areas to serve the electricity sector, note that the program included lectures by experts from the national electricity company about the company"s experience in the areas of audit quality and total quality management and modern techniques for checking public budgets and international standards are used to inform trainees on the basis of bids, tenders, technical specifications and methods of study offers technical, financial and analysis, and specialists at the hands of a common effort.
